Life Giving Outreach Ministries, Inc. (LGOM) has been involved in active mission work in Mexico for over 36 years. LGOM began with a focus of planting churches and holding evangelistic services and pastor training seminars in the remote areas of Mexico. This was the vision that the Lord had given the founders, Brother Wayne and Sister Evelyn Barrans, for the Huesteca area of Mexico.  During the last 11 years of Bro. and Sis. Barrans' ministry, the Lord sent Tom and Sheila Shidler to join LGOM in the work in Mexico.  With Bro. Barrans' retirement at age 74, the leadership of the ministry was passed to the Shidlers who received a vision from the Lord to see the body of Christ equipped to do the work of ministry in their local communities (see Ephesians 4:11-13).
